BLC Eurofins | BLC is the official facilitator of the Leather Working Group (LWG) and provide the testing certificates for our finished leather.

The National Upholstery Association’s mission is to work together with the broader upholstery community to support and advance the field of professional upholstery.

The Leather Working Group develops and maintains protocols that assess the environmental compliance and performance capabilities of leather manufacturers. Their work looks to directly address eight of the Sustainable Development Goals set out by the UN.

Sustainable Leather Foundation is an industry led, consumer focused organisation whose mission is to support the global leather industry to learn, to improve and to protect for future generations, through the People ~ Planet ~ Profit principle. They see Environmental, Social and Economic responsibility as essential components to achieving a sustainable industry.

SATRA is an independent research organisation testing products and components to European and International standards. SATRA is considered a leading technical authority for leather. Through our membership we gain exclusive access to SATRA test methods, accreditation, consultancy, research facilities, and technical training.

Leather Naturally is a not-for-profit industry members’ association that focuses on education and the promotion of leather. They promote the use of globally manufactured sustainable leather and seek to inspire and inform designers,creators, and consumers about its beauty, quality and versatility.

The Distretto Veneto della Pelle “Veneto District of Leather” is officially recognized by the Veneto Region as representing the Veneto tanning sector. Veneto Leather District is a circular economy using raw cowhides from the food industry, to create high quality leather products and recover post-tanning residues to generate other products such as fertilisers.

ISO 14001 helps organizations achieve the intended outcomes of its environmental management system. These include; enhancement of environmental performance, fulfilment of compliance obligations and achievement of environmental objectives.

ISO 9001 is an international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system Organizations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

The Blue Angel eco-label for low-emission upholstery leather signals to the consumer that leathers bearing the Blue Angel have been manufactured with the aim of minimizing their impact on health and environment during manufacture.
