The first AC (Auto Carriers LTD) sociable was a 20hp tricycle developed by the Weller brothers in 1903. The timber-framed device was powered by a single-cylinder, 636cc, air-cooled engine mounted beneath the driver’s seat and steered by a tiller.
This AC spent much of its life in a museum in Europe and, like many of the vehicles of this era, had suffered from poor repair and maintenance. Since returning home to the UK a full restoration has been executed to impeccable standards using a colour from our much-loved Old English range for the seating upholstery!
