Did you know Pigmented leather can do this?

What is Pigmented leather?

Pigmented leather undergoes a process where it receives a thicker, coloured coating that covers the natural grain and texture of the leather. Typically, a textured pattern is applied afterwards, enhancing its uniformity and colour consistency. This coating not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also allows pigmented leather to be more resistant to stains, fading, and easier to maintain.

Opting for pigmented leather can present a more cost-effective solution compared to the other finishes, and makes it an excellent option for those seeking enhanced durability or a more consistent appearance in their leather products.

What makes Pigmented so versatile?

Pigmented leather is known to be an incredibly versatile finish due to numerous factors:

Colour Options:

Pigmented leather can be dyed in any colour, this allows a wide range of aesthetic choices to match a projects design styles and personal preferences.

Consistency:

The pigmented finish provides a consistent colour and texture across the leather surface, this eliminates the natural blemishes or variations that are present in aniline and semi-aniline leathers.

Durability:

Pigmented leather finishes are typically more durable and resistant to wear, tear, and staining compared to other finishes, making pigmented leather suitable for high-traffic areas and environments where spills or accidents are likely to occur.

Ease of Maintenance:

Due to the protective coating on pigmented leather, it’s easier to clean and maintain than other types of leather. Stains and spills can often be wiped away with a damp cloth, making it a practical choice for households with children or pets.

Where can Pigmented be used?

From furniture to automotive, this leather finish can be used in various projects, but most notably more suitable in high traffic commercial venues or public spaces due to its protective nature.
